It began as an experiment in sewing and recycled goods; second hand materials haphazardly sewn together and shrunk exercising creative construction and demonstrating underdeveloped machining skills. This was the original premise, but soon the true hypothesis formed its question and boldly asked, "Can something fashionable and new come from something perceived as used and outdated?" The first was a group of sweaters cut, shaped, and sewn utilizing the available obvious features given freely by each garment. Sleeves became straps, backs were folded into bodies, and necklines offered closures. But truly the transformation occurred upon washing, here, at this point each design expressed an strong opinion of its newfound duty. If you don't believe it, see for yourself... |
